Super Bowl parties for 2021 might look different compared with all previous years, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy great food and drinks. The following appetizers can be prepared in advance and are easily scaled for your family, your pod, or a crowd. All are kid friendly, require minimal dishes, and are easy to serve! Plus, using custom home and entertaining pieces from CLV adds a stylish touch to any gathering!

Maybe you are not a huge football fan, but after the last 11 months we are looking for any reason at all to celebrate. We recommend pairing these delicious apps with beer for adults and your kids’ favorite drinks. This is a great opportunity to use your personalized beer glasses to make your super bowl party feel just a little more special. And if you don’t have any personalized beer glasses, be sure to check out our entire selection.

Pinwheel Footballs:

A favorite finger food for kids and adults alike, Pinwheel Footballs can be customized to any taste! Plus, if you use your imagination, they look like little footballs. Our basic recipe calls for flour tortillas, lunch meat, chive and onion cream cheese and diced pimentos peppers. Simply lay out a tortilla, spread with cream cheese, sprinkle on pimentos, layer with lunch meat, roll and slice.

If your family loves tacos, mix shredded Mexican cheese with regular cream cheese then spread on a tortilla. Sprinkle on some diced jalapenos, tomatoes, sliced scallions and shredded chicken or black beans. Serve with a side of salsa and sour cream.

Or for the ultimate festive Super Bowl pinwheel, you can use ingredients that match the teams’ colors. For example, say Kansas City is playing Green Bay. Instead of using regular tortillas, you could use Spinach Tortilla Wraps and Sun-Dried Tomato Wraps. Place them on a serving tray facing each other like the two teams they represent. Bonus, the Personalized Slate Serving Tray with Metal Handles works really well here because the metal handles look like field goal posts.

Make your pinwheels ahead of time, cover them with plastic wrap, and store in the fridge until you are ready to serve!

Chips and Dip:

Something about football craves a good dip! Growing up this was known as “Dee’s Famous Dip” since Aunt Dee always made it for the holidays. As time passed, however, it was realized this is a very popular and well-known dip and Aunt Dee only out her spin on it.

Dee’s Famous Dip

  • 1 8 oz. package of soften cream cheese
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • ¼ cup of mayo
  • 1 oz. package of powdered ranch dressing mix
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 sliced scallions, white and green parts
  • 3 crumbled slices of cooked bacon (more to taste)
  • ¼ cup cooked corn

Combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayo, and ranch mix with an electric mixer or by hand. Add remaining ingredients and fold to fully mixed.

But why stop at just one? We recommend making a big bowl of your favorite dip and then supplementing with a few from the store. This saves you time in the kitchen, both on the front end of making the dip and the back end of doing a bunch of dishes. Add your family’s favorite chips, crackers, or sliced veggies to create a dip bar. Set it up on a kitchen counter, or serve your chips and dips in style with the Personalized Acacia and Slate Tray or the Personalized Acacia Tray with Metal Handles.

Sure, Super Bowl 2021 might not be the no holds barred, ruckus of years past. There might not be an edible stadium built from sandwiches and tater tots, surrounded by 50 of your closest friends. Still, it can be fun, easy, and stylish! If nothing else, Super Bowl Sunday is a great reason to gather with your family and indulge in some yummy game day fare.
